The F1 racetrack in Vietnam is known as Hanoi Racetrack, a testament to the pride of the capital city in hosting one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. It is a world-class sports and entertainment racing facility, aimed at promoting Hanoi to millions of Formula 1 fans around the globe. Hanoi now holds a prominent spot on the Formula 1 circuit map and is recognized as a must-visit destination for Formula 1 enthusiasts and international tourists in general.

Located in My Dinh, the Hanoi Racetrack boasts a length of 5.607 meters and features 23 corners inspired by iconic Formula 1 races. Its unique track design combines dedicated racing sections with existing street sections. The Hanoi Racetrack is the maiden collaboration between F1 and Tilke (Germany) in designing a track, promising to be one of the most emotive and challenging circuits in the sport. With high-speed corners that surpass those in other street circuits and up to 3 overtaking points, drivers will have numerous opportunities for close competition. This will test their skills and mental fortitude while providing speed enthusiasts with a thrilling weekend of high-speed performances.

The Hanoi Racetrack encompasses 9 grandstands, each named after important provinces and cities in Vietnam, following a north-to-south order that corresponds to the positions of the first to final corners. The grandstands are named as Thang Long Grandstand, Hai Phong Grandstand, Ha Long Grandstand, Hue Matrix One Grandstand, Da Nang Grandstand, Nha Trang Grandstand, Saigon Grandstand, Can Tho Grandstand, and Phu Quoc Grandstand. The chosen names reflect the characteristics of the corners where the grandstands are situated.

This naming convention by VGPC not only highlights the Vietnamese essence of the race but also serves to promote Vietnam to millions of viewers worldwide.

Taking place from April 3rd to April 5th, 2020, the inaugural Formula 1 race in Vietnam will witness phenomenal performances by the world’s leading racers. It is the third race in the 22nd FIA Formula One World Championship, following races in Melbourne (Australia) and Bahrain, and among the earliest races in the Asian region.

The grandstands are named as follows:
