I tested the Honda CBR150R on a journey of over 100 km, experiencing various types of terrain from city roads to highways and winding mountain roads. The bike performed smoothly and comfortably, thanks to its two-way Assist & Slipper Clutch that provided smooth shifting and stability at low speeds.
With a relatively light weight and a comfortable riding position, the CBR150R is easy to control, even for riders over 1.6m tall. The design innovations, such as the footpeg position, seat height, and handlebars, make it comfortable for riding at low speeds in crowded urban areas. The only downside is the lack of an engine stop switch, which would be a useful feature for waiting at traffic lights.
During high-speed performance on the Nhat Tan Bridge and mountainous roads, the CBR150R remained stable and flexible. The acceleration, although not extremely fast, provided an exciting feeling for the rider. The two-way Assist & Slipper Clutch ensures smooth acceleration and safe downshifting without wheel slippage.
The 17 horsepower DOHC engine and maximum torque of 13.7 Nm are powerful enough for daily city riding and exciting trips on weekends.
Sporty design, outstanding equipment
The latest generation CBR150R draws inspiration from the famous CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, resulting in a sporty and dynamic appearance. The front face features a two-tier LED lighting system, while the side fairings have sharp corners, creating a multi-layered, sharp appearance. The bike’s tail is pointed and high, and the taillight incorporates an emergency stop signal.
The CBR150R is equipped with upside-down front forks from Showa and an ABS anti-lock braking system for both the front and rear wheels. The fuel tank capacity of 12 liters allows for long-distance travel.
