The Los Angeles Auto Show will open on November 16, and Hyundai will unveil the US version of the Santa Fe during the event.
The new Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to be available at US dealerships in the first half of 2024. The car features a similar exterior design to the Korean version with a boxy shape, sharp lines, prominent wheel arches, and unique lighting clusters with an H-shaped graphic.
Not only does the 2024 Santa Fe have a bold new look, but it is also larger than its predecessor, measuring 4,830 mm in length and with a wheelbase length of 2,815 mm, which is an increase of 46 mm and 48 mm respectively.
Inside the car, you can expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a 6.6-inch screen for controlling the air conditioning. The vehicle also comes equipped with a dual smart wireless phone charger and digital rearview mirrors.
In terms of seating, the second-row passengers will enjoy an additional 35 mm of legroom, while third-row passengers will have ample headroom and 15 mm more legroom compared to other vehicles in the segment.
As for safety features, the car is expected to come with a comprehensive list of driver-assistance systems such as Forward Collision Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Smart Cruise Control. In addition, it will offer features like Remote Smart Parking Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, Safe Exit Assist, and Surround View Monitor. The Santa Fe will also be the first Hyundai model in the US to feature a Driver Attention Warning system, which analyzes important driver cues to ensure safe driving.
Hyundai has confirmed that the US version of the Santa Fe will be available with two engine options. The first is a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 277 hp and a maximum torque of 422 Nm. The second option is a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain that delivers 178 hp and 265 Nm of torque.
