Hyundai Motor America is keeping the details of these two models confidential, but they describe them as “a dynamic duo” with a “more daring and modern appearance, as well as the most advanced technological enhancements.”
While that description is quite vague, the Sonata facelift was expected to be revealed earlier this year at the Seoul Mobility Show. So it’s likely to feature the Sensuous Sportiness design, which aims to address the controversial look of the current model.
The front end of the Sonata has undergone a complete redesign, including new Seamless Horizon Lamp daytime running lights positioned above the wide radiator grille, and low-set headlights. The rear of the car has also been enhanced, featuring newly designed H-shaped taillights that emphasize the “spacious and high-tech nature” of the Sonata.
For buyers looking for a more sporty option, the Sonata N Line offers a unique grille and special 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, there are upgrades such as contrasting red stitching and “metallic cross pattern decoration.”
The 2024 Sonata boasts a higher-quality cabin with a more premium design. Key features include a new large display that integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The car is also equipped with a 12-inch head-up display and an upgraded Bose 12-speaker audio system.
Similar to the Sonata, there are no major surprises for the 2024 Elantra, as this model has already been introduced in China and South Korea. The facelift version of the sedan features a slimmer front grille, a sportier front bumper, and new headlights. There are also some minor interior upgrades.
More detailed information about Hyundai’s new models for the US market will be announced next week.
