Although the KIA EV5 has already been released in China, we have only seen static images of this model up until now. Finally, we have the opportunity to take a close look at the EV5 through a detailed video showcasing the actual car.

In the video, the KIA EV5 exhibits a sleek, stylish, and dynamic design. One noticeable difference is the presence of 19-inch 4-spoke wheels, which differ from the 3-spoke wheels seen on the concept version.

The video also provides a clear sense of the EV5’s size, showing that it appears relatively compact next to the presenter. This is not surprising considering that the car has an overall length of 4,615 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, which is comparable to the dimensions of the Kia Sportage and Tesla Model Y.

Furthermore, the video offers a detailed view of the interior of the KIA EV5 in real-life. The cabin takes inspiration from the EV9, featuring a wide and minimalist dashboard, similar to the EV9. It also includes a panoramic widescreen display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The 4-spoke steering wheel incorporates most of the controls, while Kia has chosen to use physical buttons for the air conditioning. Additionally, the EV5 is equipped with dual USB-C ports, wireless charging capabilities, and multiple storage compartments. The rear seats can be folded down completely to create ample cargo space.

Similar to other electric vehicles from Hyundai/Kia, the EV5 is expected to utilize the E-GMP platform. Currently, the Korean automaker has not released any specifics regarding the electric drivetrain. However, leaked documents from China suggest that the Kia EV5 for the Chinese market will be equipped with a single electric motor, generating 215 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, with front-wheel drive configuration.
