Mazda recently introduced the updated version of the CX-5 during the launch event of the Mazda2 2024 in the Indonesian market. The Japanese C-size SUV comes in two versions: Elite 2WD and Kuro AWD, just like its predecessor.
The Elite 2WD version of the Mazda CX-5 2024 focuses on a sleek design. It features body-color side moldings, front/rear splitters, and wheel arches, all painted in the same color. In the previous version, these details were painted black.

Additionally, it comes with new silver 19-inch alloy wheels, similar to the ones used on the Mazda CX-5 in Vietnam. The Elite 2WD version of the Mazda CX-5 2024 in Indonesia also introduces a new paint color called Platinum Quarts Metallic.

The Kuro AWD version of the Mazda CX-5 2024 is designed to be more sporty and masculine. It stands out with glossy black exterior details such as the grille and side moldings. The 19-inch wheels of the Kuro AWD version feature a multi-spoke design similar to the Elite 2WD version but are painted black.

In addition to the minor exterior upgrades, the Mazda CX-5 2024 in the Indonesian market comes equipped with various interior features. It now includes a cooling function for the front seats, USB Type C ports, and a new 10.25-inch Mazda Connect Display infotainment screen.

The remaining equipment of the Mazda CX-5 2024 for the Indonesian market remains unchanged. The car still features LED headlights, LED DRLs, leather seats, smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a Bose 10-speaker audio system, heads-up display, keyless entry/start, power-adjustable/memory seats, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a hands-free power liftgate with a foot sensor.
The “heart” of the Mazda CX-5 2024 in the Indonesian market is the SkyActiv-G 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.5L. This engine generates a maximum power of 188 horsepower and a peak torque of 251 Nm. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a 6-speed SkyActiv Drive automatic transmission, and the car is available in both 1-wheel drive and 2-wheel drive versions. Additionally, the engine features cylinder deactivation technology to reduce fuel consumption.
In the Indonesian market, the Mazda CX-5 2024 is priced between 628.8 and 668.8 million Rupiah (approximately 993 million to 1.05 billion Vietnamese Dong). Compared to the Mazda CX-5 in Vietnam, which is priced between 749 and 999 million Vietnamese Dong, the Indonesian version is considerably more expensive.
