The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R 2023 was revealed in February of this year. Just over a month later, this model made its debut in Southeast Asia, specifically in Indonesia. Prior to Indonesia, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R was also introduced in Thailand at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2023 exhibition.
In the Indonesian market, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is only available in one version, the ZX-4RR. This is the top-of-the-line version equipped with fully luxurious features. It is no surprise that this bike comes with a high price tag, selling at 239.9 million Rupiah (approximately 379 million VND), which is equivalent to the price of a Kia Morning in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, in Thailand, the price of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is 320,000 Baht (221 million VND) for the Standard version and 360,000 Baht (248 million VND) for the Special Edition version.
The most notable highlight of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is its engine. This sports motorcycle is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, which is currently the only 400cc engine in the world. This sets it apart from its sibling, the Kawasaki Ninja 400, which uses a twin-cylinder engine.
The 4-cylinder engine of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a straight-line, DOHC, liquid-cooled, EFI electronic fuel injection engine. It produces a maximum power of 75 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 37.6 Nm at 12,500 rpm.
This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a 15-liter fuel tank. It is housed in a steel tube frame. Additionally, the bike features 4 riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. Rider mode allows the rider to customize the bike’s performance according to their preferences.
The highest-end version comes with a range of features, including a slipper clutch, electronic throttle, quick up/downshifting, LED headlights/taillights, tinted windscreen, digital instrument panel with a 4.3-inch LCD screen, USB port, and smartphone connectivity.
Additionally, it is equipped with the KTRC traction control system, adjustable BFRC-Lite front forks, and a horizontal rear shock absorber. The bike has 17-inch wheels with a front tire size of 120/70 and a rear tire size of 160/60. It features dual 290mm front disc brakes and a single 220mm rear disc brake. The seat height is 800mm, making it suitable for Asian riders. The bike weighs 188 kg.
