The base version of the 2024 Kia EV9 is the EV9 Air, starting at $61,699. It is equipped with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive. This version comes with a 76.1 kWh battery pack. The electric motor provides 215 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The base model has a maximum range of 443 km.

Although the EV9 Air is the entry-level model, it comes with a good list of features. Highlighted features include a pair of 12.3-inch curved screens, a 5-inch climate control screen, 19-inch wheels, and a range of Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies. These include Highway Driving Assist 2, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist 2, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Moving up to the Kia EV9 Earth, you’ll get a larger 99.8 kWh battery pack and two electric motors with a total power output of 380 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The larger battery pack increases the EV9 Earth’s range to 512 km on a single charge but also raises the starting price of this electric SUV to $67,741. The Earth version is also equipped with Surround View Monitor, Blind View Monitor, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist – Reverse, and illuminated steering wheel logo.

The top-of-the-line version is the EV9 GT-Line, which uses the same AWD Dual Motor drivetrain as the Earth but is equipped with 21-inch wheels. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds instead of 6.0 seconds and has a range of 505 km. This premium version starts at $76,965 and features Premium Relaxation Seats in the front row, AR Head-Up Display, and Digital Rearview Mirror. Additionally, the EV9 GT-Line comes with a Meridian 14-speaker surround sound system.

All three versions feature adjustable suspension tuned to suit Australian road conditions and can charge from 10-80% in 20 minutes for the Air version, while the Earth and GT-Line take 25 minutes due to their larger battery packs.
