The 5th generation KIA K5 is set to receive an upgraded version, as announced in December 2019. Recent images of the K5 Facelift commercial car give us a glimpse of the design changes. Additionally, we now have information regarding the sedan’s launch date. According to Thekoreancarblog, the first official images of the upgraded K5 will be released in November.
In recent spy shots, the upgraded KIA K5 still remains well-disguised, concealing changes from the front to the tail of the car. However, we can still observe differences in the new headlights, taillights, and wheels. Nevertheless, major design changes, akin to those seen in the Sonata by Hyundai, should not be anticipated.
In terms of powertrain, significant changes are not expected in comparison to the current version, apart from minor refinements aimed at improving engine efficiency. Moreover, upgrades to the battery pack can be expected to extend the range in electric mode for the K5 hybrid.
As for the interior, based on recent upgrades seen in other KIA models, we can anticipate a newer dual curved screen cluster in the upgraded version of the KIA K5. Additionally, the KIA K5 Facelift is likely to feature a range of modern equipment.
