Shortly after revealing the all-new TX model, Lexus continues to unveil images of the SUV’s interior. While there aren’t many detailed images available, the ones provided by Lexus give a good overall impression of the TX’s design.
The interior cabin of the Lexus TX features a predominantly black color scheme with subtle gray accents on the dashboard and door handles. This large-size SUV is configured with 6 seats instead of the typical 7. The middle row only consists of 2 seats, and they are not of the executive type. The middle position is reserved for a cup holder.
Another notable feature of the Lexus TX is the unique push-in door handle design. The sound system is provided by the renowned brand Mark Levinson.
The Lexus TX can be seen as the premium version of the Toyota Grand Highlander. The D-pillar of this car is finished in glossy black, creating a seamless connection with the rear window.
According to the information filed for trademark protection, the Lexus TX will be offered in 3 variants: 350, 500h, and 550h+. The engine lineup in this luxury SUV is expected to be shared with the Grand Highlander, which includes a 2.4L turbocharged petrol engine with 265 horsepower, a 2.5L hybrid engine with 245 horsepower, and a 2.4L turbocharged petrol engine similar to the one found in the Lexus RX, producing 362 horsepower.
Lexus has confirmed that the TX model will be officially introduced on June 8th. Positioned between the RX and LX models, this SUV will also be a direct competitor to the BMW X7 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
