The all-new Lexus GX, now in its third generation, was recently launched worldwide, offering two engine choices: a 3.5L V6 turbocharged engine and a 2.4L turbocharged hybrid 4-cylinder engine.
Based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) GA-F platform, just like its sibling, the LX, the latest GX measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,865 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
The Australian market will witness the introduction of the GX model for the first time during the upcoming launch event. In the past, the GX was exclusively available in North America and a few select markets.
Currently, detailed information regarding the pricing and technical specifications of the 2024 Lexus GX in the Australian market has not yet been released. However, Lexus Australia has confirmed that the GX will initially come with a potent turbocharged V6 engine producing 415 PS/650 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive.
Australian customers will also have the option to choose the Overtrail version, which features a 5-seat configuration and enhanced off-road capabilities. In addition to its unique features, the Overtrail is equipped with the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS).
Moreover, the Overtrail version offers the Multi-Terrain Select driving mode, which includes 6 modes: Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, and Rock.
All variants of the 2024 Lexus GX come with the Lexus Safety System+ and Lexus Connected Services for enhanced safety and connectivity.
