The 15th race of MotoGP 2019 is set to take place at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand this weekend. Repsol Honda Team’s rider, Marc Marquez, has a golden opportunity to secure the championship early in the 2019 season with only 4 races left, provided he continues to display the impressive form he has shown recently.

Marc Marquez currently holds a total of 300 points after 14 races. Sitting closely behind him is Dovizioso of Ducati with 202 points. There is currently a considerable gap of 98 points between the two riders. With this lead, all Marquez needs to do in the upcoming Thailand race is to finish in the first position, or achieve a result at least 2 points higher than Dovizioso, in order to secure the championship title for the 2019 season, with 4 races yet to go.

The year 2019 continues to be an immensely successful year for the 26-year-old Spanish rider, born in 1993, as he dominates the championship with a significant lead over his closest contender. With a 98-point difference from the rider placed second at this moment, it is highly unlikely for Marc Marquez to lose his grip on the championship title, especially when there are only 5 races remaining, including tonight’s 15th race.

The Thailand race has witnessed a series of falls for Marc Marquez during both the practice and qualifying sessions earlier this afternoon. Nevertheless, the determined rider successfully secured the 3rd starting position for the main race, surpassing Dovizioso of Ducati by 4 places (7th position).

In the inaugural MotoGP season in Thailand last year (2018), Marc Marquez delivered an awe-inspiring performance, snatching both the pole position and victory in the main race. This triumph served as a precursor to his early championship title in the previous season.

For tonight’s official race at the Chang International Circuit, 20-year-old sensation Fabio Quartararo, from Yamaha’s satellite team, will start in the 1st position. Quartararo is considered a formidable competitor for Marc Marquez in the 2019 season, and it is highly anticipated that this rider will soon make his way into Yamaha’s main team.

We will provide updates on the results of MotoGP Thailand 2019 once the race concludes.
