Research shows that the bonsai tree and the motorbike in the photo are situated in the garden of a man named Tam in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong. Mr. Tam revealed that this “work of art” came about by accident 25 years ago.
According to Mr. Tam, during that time, he had a food stall that served duck porridge in his garden. In order to create more space for the stall, he leaned his Yamaha motorbike against the old tree.
At that time, the Yamaha was still in good condition, but Mr. Tam had no use for it, so he left the bike next to the tree day after day.
After some time, a small root emerged from the ancient tree and attached itself to the Yamaha. Upon seeing this, Mr. Tam decided to let it be. For the past 25 years, the bonsai leaves have provided shade and protection for the motorbike. Now, the bike cannot be moved as the tree roots have tightly wrapped around it.
The bike is more than 50 years old
Mr. Tam shared that many individuals have offered him millions to purchase this “work of art” and display it in tourist areas, but he has turned down all offers. He also added that he bought this bike from a friend. It is one of the first Yamaha motorbikes ever brought into Vietnam over 50 years ago.
“That Yamaha bike was the first bike I ever bought. At that time, its value was equivalent to 1,000 ducks, which was not a small sum. Now, I have numerous bikes and even a mansion, but that motorbike is tied to the hardships of my past, so I have made the decision not to sell it,” Mr. Tam shared.
