In an exchange with Zing, a Toyota dealer staff confirmed that the small-sized Wigo model will officially return to the Vietnamese market in the last week of May.
“The price of the Wigo in this second release will increase by 20-30 million VND compared to the previous generation. It is expected that the price of the Toyota Wigo manual version will be around 380 million VND,” the sales staff said.
However, they also emphasized that the above price is only a personal estimate of sales consultants. At the moment, the estimated price of the Toyota Wigo is only communicated verbally to customers who want to place a deposit.
It is known that the exact listed price of the A segment Wigo model in the return to the Vietnamese market will only be announced after Toyota Vietnam officially launches this model on May 24.
It is likely that the selling price of the Toyota Wigo 2023 in Vietnam will increase as predicted by sales consultants, as this model is equipped with many valuable features such as new LED headlights, blind spot warning system, and cross-traffic alert when reversing.
Before being stopped from selling due to not meeting Euro 5 emission standards, the Toyota Wigo was imported directly from Indonesia and distributed in Vietnam with 2 versions at the prices of 352 million VND and 385 million VND.

Regarding the delivery time, Toyota dealer staff revealed that customers who place a deposit at this time will only be able to receive their Toyota Wigo around June-July.
“Currently, the quantity of Red and Orange Wigo cars that can be delivered in May has been fully booked by customers,” the staff confirmed.
From the leaked images, it can be seen that the Toyota Wigo 2023 in Vietnam will be the G version of the Toyota Agya model, which was previously introduced in the Indonesian market. The GR Sport version with a sportier design will not be introduced to customers in Vietnam in this return.
In this return to the Vietnamese market, the Toyota Wigo will have to compete with the familiar competitors, Hyundai Grand i10 and Kia Morning, in the A segment car segment.
Currently, the Hyundai Grand i10 is the most popular small-sized, low-priced car in Vietnam with a sales volume of 2,739 cars in the first 4 months of the year.
In the same period, the sales volume of the Kia Morning was only 603 cars, equivalent to less than a quarter of the sales volume of the only competitor in the segment.

If the listed price of the Toyota Wigo 2023 is adjusted to increase by an additional 20-30 million VND as expected, the small-sized hatchback from Toyota will no longer be the lowest-priced A segment car in the Vietnamese market.
Currently, the Hyundai Grand i10 is distributed in Vietnam with 2 variants and a total of 6 versions, with listed prices ranging from 360-455 million VND.
The Kia Morning is also assembled in Vietnam and distributed with a total of 5 versions, with listed prices ranging from 389 million to 454 million VND.
