The Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 is set to make a name for itself in the affordable 7-seater MPV segment with 32 new changes, including a mild hybrid engine, making it a highly competitive option among its rivals.
As we enter 2022, car manufacturers are introducing new and upgraded models in the market. Suzuki is not falling behind as they launch the Hybrid Ertiga, a 7-seater MPV with a mild hybrid version.
The highlight of the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 is its 1.5L engine, which is equipped with an integrated starter generator (ISG) located behind the main engine. It also features a 6,000mAh – 12V lithium-ion battery, placed below the driver’s seat, with fast charging capabilities and high durability.
The hybrid system greatly enhances the engine’s performance, especially when carrying heavy loads or restarting the engine, resulting in improved fuel efficiency.
The Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology enables the Hybrid Ertiga 2022 to achieve impressive fuel consumption of just 5.05L / 100km. The vehicle can save up to 33% fuel and reduce up to 6 tonnes of CO2 emissions per 100,000km driven.
Suzuki ensures the battery’s durability, guaranteeing a lifespan of up to 10 years. After that, the used battery can be repurposed for solar-powered street lighting systems to further reduce the environmental impact. The manufacturer also offers a replacement battery for 29.9 million VND after the 5-year warranty period.
In terms of design, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 retains the boxy shape typical of MPVs in its segment. Its dimensions are 4,395 x 1,735 x 1,690mm, with a wheelbase of 2,740mm.
At the front, the Hybrid Ertiga boasts a modern grille with a 3D design and shiny chrome details shaped like a boomerang. The headlights are equipped with projectors and an automatic on/off mode depending on the environmental conditions. The Guide me light feature illuminates the way to the house, providing convenience to passengers after parking the car.
Other notable exterior upgrades include an LED position light strip similar to the grille’s design and fog lights for increased visibility, especially in foggy conditions.
The rear of the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga features a handsome chrome trim, a reversing camera, and parking sensors for safety. The power tailgate with trunk kick function adds convenience, particularly when shopping with hands full.
The Sport Limited version offers additional sporty exterior accessories, such as a rear spoiler, door handle covers, step sills, rain visors, and front and rear bumper covers, among others.
Inside the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022, you’ll find small improvements focused on enhancing the overall luxury of the cabin. The color scheme has been changed to gray-black, creating a more luxurious atmosphere. The wood grain pattern replaces the carbon-fiber pattern on the dashboard and door trim, further improving the car’s cozy and elegant feel. The car retains its 10-inch center screen with smart connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Additional features include an electronic rearview mirror with an integrated driving camera, wireless charging for smart devices, and the long-awaited D-cut steering wheel with cruise control.
Other convenient features include a soft leather-wrapped armrest and built-in cup holders with cooling vents for the front seat passengers.
The spacious interior of the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 can accommodate up to 7 people. The rear seats can slide, recline, and fold, offering customization options to suit various needs.
The MID display screen behind the steering wheel provides real-time information about the hybrid engine’s operation. The manual version also features GSI lights to indicate the operating gear number.
The new Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 offers convenience, fuel efficiency, safety, and environmental friendliness. It is available in 3 versions at 41 dealerships nationwide, with prices ranging from 539 to 678 million VND. The car comes in 6 colors and is ready for immediate delivery starting from October 2022.
