In the morning, the contestants fiercely competed in the ranking round. In the Blade 110cc category, racer Nguyen Manh Phat unexpectedly surpassed Nguyen Duc Thanh to take the pole position. In the MSX125cc category, Nguyen Ngoc Nhan continued to show impressive performance with the first starting position. The Winner 150cc category witnessed the stability of Nguyen Anh Tuan – a racer who just participated in the final round of ARRC 2019 in the colors of Honda Vietnam Racing Team when he won a convincing pole position. Meanwhile, in the UB130cc category, after a ranking round interrupted by the track surface, Le Trong Vinh claimed the pole position.

Blade 110cc: Nguyen Duc Thanh wins the season

The Blade 110cc category is currently dominated by Nguyen Duc Thanh as this racer has won the first 4 consecutive rounds. However, in the 5th round, the racer who just finished round 7 of ARRC 2019 in the colors of Honda Vietnam Racing Team was unable to maintain this absolute dominance and started at 2nd position, behind racer Manh Phat, who unexpectedly won the Pole in the morning of the same day.

Minh Di and Duc Thanh fiercely compete for the top position.

Right at the first turn, the surprise was not Duc Thanh or Manh Phat who gained the advantage, but instead the racer starting at 3rd position Nguyen Minh Di. After an excellent overtaking, the racer with the number 05 pushed the racer with the Pole, Manh Phat, down to 3rd position, while Duc Thanh had to struggle to maintain his 2nd position.

After 3 unchanged rounds, in the 4th round, racer Dinh Van Toan unexpectedly moved up, pushing Manh Phat down to 4th position, while at the top, Duc Thanh and Minh Di created an extremely exciting race. In his outstanding performance, Minh Di did not give Duc Thanh a chance to win a 5th consecutive victory in the season, although in some situations, the rider who won the first 4 stages had overtaken at turn 3 but was immediately reclaimed by Minh Di.

In the last 3 laps, Duc Thanh increasingly fell behind Minh Di, helping the racer with the number 05 easily finish 1st in the 5th stage and causing Duc Thanh to suffer his first defeat of the 2019 season. Although he could not win the 5th stage in a row anymore, with 13 points earned from finishing 2nd, Duc Thanh raised his total points to 77 and officially became the champion of VMRC 2019 in the Blade 110cc category before one racing stage.

With 2nd position, Duc Thanh #02 officially becomes the champion of VMRC 2019.

MSX 125cc: Easy victory for Ngoc Nhan

As usual, the MSX125cc category continues to be considered the most thrilling content because the racers in the championship race group have very close scores. Right at the start, another surprise happened when the racer starting in 3rd position, Nguyen Nhat Truong, had the best start according to a scenario quite similar to the start of the Blade 110cc content. However, right at the first turn, a collision occurred, causing Nhat Truong to lose this advantage and let Le Vu Truong Giang pass. The racer with the pole, Nguyen Ngoc Nhan, was also directly affected by the collision and had to fiercely compete to regain the top position.

With his courage and impressive performance on a beautiful day at the 2K racetrack, Nguyen Ngoc Nhan did not disappoint his fans. In the 2nd round, Nguyen Ngoc Nhan moved up to take the first position and gradually enlarged the safe gap with the 2nd racer, Le Vu Truong Giang. From the 4th round, the rankings of these 2 racers did not change but the gap widened significantly.

Nguyen Ngoc Nhan with number 77 leaves behind competitors behind.

However, at this point, the highlight of the race moved to the heated contest between Nguyen Nhat Truong and Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa for the 2nd position. The strong rise of Dang Khoa, the racer with the highest total points after the first 4 rounds, made the race for the 2nd position become interesting for viewers. With strength, Dang Khoa managed to surpass Truong Giang to take the 2nd position, but in the end, the person behind Ngoc Nhan was still Le Vu Truong Giang. Dang Khoa took the 3rd position overall in the 5th stage of VMRC 2019.

Tuan Giang with number 60 and Dang Khoa with number 78 fiercely compete for the 2nd position.

After the 5th round, the situation in the MSX125cc category became more intense than ever when Dang Khoa continues to lead with 60 points, meanwhile, with the 1st position in the 5th stage, Nguyen Ngoc Nhan had 59 points, a difference of only 1 point with Dang Khoa. This makes the final stage of VMRC 2019 in the MSX 125 category become more exciting and decisive than ever.

WINNER 150cc: Nguyen Anh Tuan asserts himself

Returning after round 7 of ARRC 2019, Nguyen Anh Tuan has learned and made great progress, experiencing one of the most relaxed stages since the beginning of the VMRC 2019 season. Right from the start, taking advantage of his pole position to the fullest, Anh Tuan gradually expanded the gap with his opponents and finished without encountering any fierce competition from the remaining racers.

Nguyen Anh Tuan easily finishes 1st in the 5th stage.

Huu Tin finishes 2nd with a quite wide distance from the trailing group.

The racer who used to compete fiercely with Anh Tuan in round 4, Le Hung Huu Tin still performed steadily, but faced the excellent performance of the racer with the number 47, Huu Tin had to reluctantly settle for the 2nd position overall even though he left behind the trailing group. The 3rd position of the race was a fierce competition between To Ha Dong Nghi and Nguyen Hoang Tien. However, Dong Nghi showed his experience and fought back, defeating Hoang Tien to successfully protect this position.

Minh Sang (left) and Duy Thong (right) compete for the 3rd position.

With the 1st position in the 5th stage, Nguyen Anh Tuan has officially taken the lead in the overall standings of the WINNER 150 content and opened a 3-point gap with his friend Huu Tin. With a 3-point gap, with only one stage left, it is very likely that the scenario where these two athletes have equal points will happen if in the 6th stage, Huu Tin finishes first while Anh Tuan finishes second.

UB 130cc: Le Trong Vinh accelerates

Unlike usual, the UB 130cc content in the 5th stage was not as thrilling as usual, partly because in this race, many racers were unable to participate and only 9 racers competed. Next was a quite regrettable news for the audience just before the opening hour when racer Le Khanh Loc was unable to participate in the race due to a malfunction of his car in the qualifying race right before, this is an extremely disappointing news for those who are looking forward to the return of Luc Binh after the injury.

Le Trong Vinh has the Pole and easily finishes 1st in the 5th stage.

Back to the main developments of the UB130cc category, Le Trong Vinh right from the start took full advantage of his pole position to take the lead and gradually distance himself from the remaining opponents, making the race “3 knots” with Trong Vinh leading, next was Le Phung and Huynh Minh Sang competing for the 2nd position, followed by defending champion Bui Duy Thong.

Racer finishing 2nd is Le Phung.

By the last laps, when Le Trong Vinh gradually created a safe distance and finished easily, Le Phung also brought the hot spot of the race to the rear when the 3rd position became a fierce battle between Minh Sang and Duy Thong when the 2 racers ensured their 2nd position. In the end, despite of his effort, the defending champion Bui Duy Thong could not surpass Minh Sang and reluctantly settled for the 4th position.

Thus, now Le Trong Vinh has 63 points, 3 points ahead of the racer currently in 2nd position, Le Phung. Meanwhile, with 10 points earned, Duy Thong has 52 points and the opportunity to successfully defend the championship is extremely fragile since there is only one stage left in the 2019 season.

The final stage of VMRC 2019 is expected to take place in February 2020 and the venue has not been confirmed by the organizers.
