Stolen: Million-dollar Stalin limousine too heavy to lift

The daring apple theft incident was captured on security cameras at the storage facility. A gang of six thieves managed to unlock the garage where a limousine owned by a Ukrainian politician was stored. However, they had to use a truck to pull the vintage car out onto the street.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Joseph Stalin’s previously used limousine weighed at least 4.2 tons. Even with the help of the truck, the thieves couldn’t get very far. They had to abandon the car and make their escape, making it easy for the local police to locate the stolen vehicle.

Stalin’s limousine was the first armored car mass-produced by the Soviet Union. Its thick steel layer on the outside provides protection against 7.62mm bullets fired from a distance of 25 meters.

The theft of this car was unthinkable to many, including the owner himself. It is a well-known and “prohibited” car that cannot be easily disposed of. Stealing it for personal use was out of the question, and dismantling it for parts was even more impossible due to its vintage nature. Moreover, stealing valuable historical artifacts carries severe penalties in Russia/Ukraine.
