Toyota has unveiled two new models at the Kenshiki forum in Brussels, Belgium. These models include the Urban SUV Concept and Sport Crossover Concept. The Toyota Urban SUV Concept offers a sneak peek at a small electric SUV that will be launched in the European market in the following year.

The Urban SUV Concept will be positioned in the B-segment SUV. It will be one of six electric car models that Toyota plans to sell in the European market. However, there is limited information available about the commercial version of this car.

Toyota currently dominates the B-segment SUV segment with the Yaris Cross electric hybrid car, which is the best-selling model in the segment. Drawing from the experience gained with the Yaris Cross, we are developing a true electric SUV with a practical design that meets the priorities of European customers. This model will embody the quality, durability, and reliability that are synonymous with the Toyota brand,” said the Japanese automaker in a press release.

The Urban SUV Concept features the same design language as Toyota’s latest models, such as the Prius, Crown, and Camry. It showcases a front end inspired by a hammerhead shark, complete with horizontal LED daytime running lights. The car also boasts distinctive “C” shaped headlights and a closed grille. Additionally, there is a strip of LED lights running along the corners of the front bumper.

On the side of the car, the Toyota Urban SUV Concept features strong crease lines and cuts, sharp-cornered wheel arches, aerodynamic wheels, and hidden door handles. It’s worth noting that this concept car is equipped with digital cameras instead of traditional rearview mirrors. However, it is uncertain whether this feature will be retained in the production version of the car.

The B-segment SUV will be equipped with either one or two electric motors, depending on the version. Additionally, there will be two battery options with different capacities.
