Hennessey has recently introduced the VelociRaptor 500 modification based on the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor, which boasts a staggering power output of 500 horsepower.
The Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 is a modified version of the newly launched 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor in the US market. As the name suggests, the VelociRaptor 500 offers a power output of up to 500 horsepower, along with 745 lb-ft of torque. This is a significant increase of 95 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque compared to the stock version. To achieve this impressive performance, Hennessey has upgraded the Ranger Raptor’s EcoBoost V6 3.0L engine with a high-performance air intake, larger intercooler, and new engine control unit (ECU) software. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with front and rear limited-slip differentials and a 2-speed auxiliary transmission.
Furthermore, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 retains features such as an active exhaust system, 64mm Fox “Live Valve” shock absorbers, and a drive mode selector with various modes including Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Sand, Mud/Ruts, Rock Crawl, Baja, and Tow-Haul. The active exhaust system offers modes such as Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Off-Road (Baja).
On the exterior, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 features new front and rear bumpers with integrated auxiliary LED lights. This modified model comes with 17-inch Hennessey wheels and 33-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires as standard. Inside the cabin, the VelociRaptor 500 seats showcase Hennessey logos on the headrests, while the vehicle’s serial number is displayed in both the engine compartment and interior space.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor has a starting price of $56,960 in the US (equivalent to about 1.33 billion VND). Meanwhile, the price for the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 upgrade package starts at $24,950 (about 585 million VND). In Vietnam, the Ranger Raptor 2023 is also available, starting from 1.299 billion VND. However, in contrast to the US market, the Vietnamese version is only equipped with a 2.0L diesel engine generating 207 horsepower.
