Hyundai is currently working on an upgraded version of its Hyundai Tucson model. The Hyundai Tucson Facelift test prototype has been seen multiple times during test drives. Most recently, a spy video captured the Hyundai Tucson Facelift being tested in the Alps.
In this recent sighting, the prototype had removed the heavy camouflage at the front, revealing new details about the front bumper, grille, and headlights.
The exterior changes primarily focus on the front of the Tucson, with a new radiator grille featuring refined grid patterns. The radiator grille also integrates LED daytime running lights with turn signal lights. Additionally, the front bumper has been improved with angular highlights.
The sides of the car appear to have minimal changes, although the camouflage on the D-pillar suggests potential updates to the chrome highlights running into the rear window. Updated wheel designs and new taillights with three-dimensional lighting graphics are also expected.
The interior of the Hyundai Tucson Facelift is anticipated to receive significant upgrades, following the style of the new Santa Fe. It is likely that the next-generation Santa Fe will feature a modern panoramic curved display system, as well as the latest safety features and technologies.
Regarding the powertrain system, the Hyundai Tucson will offer different engine options depending on the markets. Experts believe that there will be minimal changes to the drivetrain options in the facelift version of the Tucson, except for minor refinements to improve engine efficiency. There may also be an upgrade to the battery pack to increase the operating range in full-electric mode for the PHEV variant.
Currently, there is no official launch date for the Hyundai Tucson Facelift, but it is expected to be around the summer of 2024 in South Korea.
