With regards to the race categories, VMRC 2022 will include the CBR150R in the official competition for the first time, and the organizer is also upgrading the category for Vietnamese racing teams from UB130 to UB150 to keep up with the technological trends of major races in the region.

Specifically, the racing categories for this year’s season will consist of 5 categories as follows:

Vietnam Talent Cup: This category will use the NSF100 sports bike model and is open to young racers aged 13 to 17 who have never competed in VMRC before. This is the second year that this category is included in the competition.

Blade 110: This category will use the Blade 110cc customized bike model and is open to young racers aged 18 to 20 who have never competed in VMRC before.

Winner 150: This category is designed to develop racers who have experience competing in the MSX 125/Blade 110 and Vietnam Talent Cup categories from previous seasons. Racers will use the new 2022 Winner X bike model, customized by HVN technicians, to compete.

CBR150R: This category is introduced for the first time in the VMRC competition. By utilizing the Honda CBR150R sports motorcycle model, imported and officially launched in the Vietnamese market on September 29, 2021, the organizers aim to increase competitiveness and enhance the racer experience with the CBR150R sports motorcycle model.

UB 150: The UB150 category is for racing teams in Vietnam. This is the second category change for the 2022 season, where teams will customize the Winner X bike to participate in the competition, with a maximum registration of 02 bikes per team.

As usual, the organizers will carefully select racers before the start of the first stage of the race. Within just 7 days of opening registration, the race has already attracted over 150 registration forms. The VMRC 2022 racer selection phase at the track will take place on May 4th and 5th, 2022, with the expected recruitment of 7 racers for the Vietnam Talent Cup category, 12 racers for the Blade 110cc category, 12 racers for the WinnerX 150 category, 12 racers for the CBR150R category, and nearly 20 racers for the UB150 category.

Prior to the 1st Stage of the race on May 8th, the following activities will take place:

– The “Gymkhana” competition will allow spectators to participate and experience the racing model. Through this activity, participants will have the opportunity to get close to professional sports motorcycle models, thereby enhancing their awareness of legally organized professional race stages.

– The “Kid training” mini racetrack is specifically designed for young racers aged 3-12 who have a passion for speed. The program includes 2 activities: balance bike racing for children aged 3-6 and CRF50 driving experience for children aged 7-12. These activities will take place in the morning of May 8th.

In addition, there will be many other experiential activities with attractive gifts from Honda Authorized Stores and Dealers, as well as other sponsors, for the VMRC 2022 race.
