Earlier, car enthusiasts across the country were captivated by the news of businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh acquiring the prestigious Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary. Now, an adventurous biker from the Western region has joined the league by owning his very own Ducati Panigale V4 SP2.
The Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is a special tribute by Ducati to the iconic 916 superbike designed by Massimo Tamburini. Recently launched in November at EICMA 2023 by the renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, this limited edition model comes with a price tag of approximately 1.11 billion VND and is limited to just 500 units.
In less than 2 weeks after its global debut, the "red demon" has already secured 2 orders from Vietnamese bikers, even though the official price has not yet been announced in our country. The first person to place an order was businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh, and now a biker from the Western region has also committed to own this marvellous machine.
The Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary draws inspiration from the championship-winning Ducati 996 1999 World Superbike ridden by the legendary Carl Fogarty. This inspiration is beautifully reflected in several design elements, including the front end, headlights, fairing, air intake, V-shaped emblem on the fairing, short and nimble tail, and the single-sided swingarm...
The 30-year anniversary edition of the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 boasts an enchanting appearance with a fairing crafted by Centro Stile Ducati. The fairing is adorned with the tri-color scheme of Italy as well as a white number plate featuring the engraved number "1" from Fogarty's bike in a modern pattern. Additionally, the fuel tank lid also showcases a precious highlight of the holly logo in the same gold color as the 916.
In keeping with its legendary predecessor, the Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversary 916 is available exclusively in a single-seat configuration. Notably, it is equipped with an Anniversary solid aluminum plate featuring laser engraving of the model name and production serial number.
Compared to the standard version, the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary offers several upgrades, such as a fuel tank lid made from aluminum billet, a carbon front mudguard, heat shield for the exhaust pipe, lighter chain sprocket, STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, and Rizoma footpegs.
Moreover, this special edition also boasts 5-spoke carbon wheels, reducing the weight of the wheels by 1.4kg compared to the forged Marchesini wheels of the V4 S and 3.4kg compared to the wheels of the Panigale V4. The reduced moment of inertia, approximately 26% at the front and 46% at the rear, imparts enhanced agility, reduced fatigue, and greater precision during acceleration.
The "red demon" is also fitted with Brembo Stylema R calipers and cooling ducts, ensuring high braking efficiency and stable performance even during long journeys. The Brembo MCS clutch master cylinder allows for simple and intuitive adjustment of the lever feel and distance, without the need to stop.
Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 916 30th Anniversary is the liquid-cooled Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine with a displacement of 1,103cc. It churns out an impressive power output of 210 horsepower at 12,500 rpm, accompanied by a peak torque of 122 Nm at 11,000 rpm.
