Yamaha Grande 2022: Price Increase Compared to Previous Version

The all-new Yamaha Grande has just been launched in Vietnam. It has undergone significant changes in terms of design and features compared to the previous version. Additionally, the price of the Grande 2022 has also increased.

The Yamaha Grande 2022 comes in three versions. The Standard version starts at 45.9 million VND, while the Premium and Limited versions are priced at 50.3 million VND and 51 million VND respectively.

Compared to the previous version, the price of the Grande has increased by 400,000 VND to 1.2 million VND, depending on the version. However, even with the price hike, the Yamaha Grande remains more expensive than its direct competitor, the Honda Lead (priced between 39.06 million VND and 42.3 million VND).

The Grande 2022 showcases redesigned features such as the dashboard, rear light cluster, and the addition of a position light strip similar to the Janus model. The lighting system now utilizes LED technology, making it the first popular Yamaha model to feature turn signal lights without halogen bulbs.

This scooter model also comes with a charging port and a front storage compartment, similar to the Thai market. However, the exposed charging port can be inconvenient during rainy weather.

The engine of the new Grande still utilizes the Blue Core 125 cc type, generating a power output of 8.2 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.4 Nm at 5,000 rpm. However, these figures are lower than its direct competitor, the Honda Lead, which boasts 11 horsepower and 11.7 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the fuel consumption of the Grande 2022 is 1.66 liters per 100 km, showing an improvement of 0.03 liters per 100 km compared to the previous version. It is also significantly more fuel-efficient than the Honda Lead, which has a fuel consumption rate of 2.16 liters per 100 km.
