The next-generation Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 has received a complete design overhaul compared to its predecessor. The new model features a boxy design with several design elements reminiscent of Land Rovers. It boasts new H-shaped headlights and a more premium appearance that Hyundai claims is optimized for outdoor enthusiasts.
The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe will be officially launched worldwide in August. Currently, the Korean automaker has only revealed the design of this popular D-sized SUV.
According to SangYup Lee, the Global Design Center Director of Hyundai, the all-new Santa Fe is an SUV that draws design inspiration from both urban life and outdoor activities, catering to every family’s journeys and camping adventures by car.
“With a longer wheelbase, more spacious interior, and larger cargo space, the Santa Fe will enhance the customer’s experience,” added the Hyundai representative.
Hyundai states that the front of the car stands out with its unique H-shaped headlight design. The H-shaped pattern also appears on the grille and rear bumper, creating consistency. The flared wheel arches emphasize that this is a vehicle with excellent driving capabilities, while the 21-inch wheels give the new Santa Fe a more powerful look.
The Korean automaker stated that the fifth-generation crossover has a longer wheelbase and a larger cargo space to provide owners with more room for transporting goods. Although Hyundai has not disclosed the interior volume, the company has stated that the second and third-row seats can fold completely, offering “best-in-class” interior space.
Exquisite Interior
In contrast to the angular and muscular exterior, the interior is elegantly designed. The H-shaped pattern continues to inspire the cabin space. The seats and ceiling of the car are brightly colored, giving the interior a more spacious feel. At the same time, the new Santa Fe’s interior also features premium decorative materials with soft wood patterns or exquisitely embroidered seats to create a more sophisticated ambiance.
In terms of equipment and technology, the new Santa Fe boasts a curved screen cluster consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Although Hyundai has not provided any technical details, the “2.5T” badge at the rear confirms that the car will be equipped with a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 277 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque, similar to the current Santa Fe. A hybrid variant will also be available in North America. In Europe, the SUV is expected to be equipped with a 1.6L T-GDi inline-4 engine with 226 horsepower and a powerful plug-in hybrid variant with 261 horsepower.
The Korean automaker will fully unveil the new crossover on its YouTube channel in August.
