The Hyundai Tucson 2024, which was recently unveiled in November, features a more sporty design and some changes to the interior. The South Korean car manufacturer is expected to release the C-segment SUV in early 2024. However, a new Tucson has already been spotted on the streets of its home market.
The upgraded Hyundai Tucson maintains the “Parametric Dynamics” design language of its predecessor while moving towards a sportier and more powerful look. The front of the car stands out with a simpler grille that incorporates hidden “Parametric Jewel” LED positioning lights.
The front bumper now features an extended center air intake, flanked by two air intakes with integrated LED lighting. The contrasting color bumper cover and muscular creases add to the car’s athletic appeal.
The redesigned alloy wheels maintain the angular and youthful lines of its predecessor. The rear of the car remains largely unchanged, with the rear light cluster intact. The rear wheel arches now feature simulated air vents. The rear bumper, also in a contrasting color, extends seamlessly to both sides, creating a cohesive and sophisticated look for the car.
The interior of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson has been revealed in images, although the accompanying features have not been disclosed yet. Recent photos suggest that the Korean car manufacturer has optimized the cabin space by moving the gear lever to the steering column position, resulting in a more spacious driver’s area. The central screen is seamlessly integrated with the dashboard behind the steering wheel, giving the car a modern touch.
The 2024 Tucson is the first major update since its debut in September 2020, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the fourth-generation Tucson in its segment. The official price of the C-segment crossover in the Korean market has not been announced yet. The price is expected to be revealed early next year in the US.
In Vietnam, the Hyundai Tucson initially gained popularity in the market due to its competitive price and convenient features. However, after the Mazda CX-5 reduced its price, the sales volume of the Tucson decreased significantly. Specifically, in the recent month of November, 2,195 units of the CX-5 were sold, while Hyundai’s model only reached 1,249 units. The four versions of the Tucson are currently priced between 769-899 million VND.
In addition to the CX-5, the C-segment crossover also faces competition from the Kia Sportage, Ford Territory, and Toyota Corolla Cross.
