In Vietnam, there are only 5 McLaren 765LTs, with 4 coupe versions and 1 spider version. Among these, 3 have already been registered, while the background of the remaining 2 is unclear. The most expensive one is a custom blue-colored version, valued at approximately 35 billion VND.

A business person residing in Ho Chi Minh City recently surprised car enthusiasts by bringing 2 supercars to Hanoi, which included the unique McLaren 765LT Spider in Vietnam. Although it is quite rare, the car quickly roamed the streets of the capital, capturing attention. In addition to this supercar, the adhesive tycoon also owns 2 other supercars, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster and the Ferrari 488.

With a limited production of 765 units worldwide, the McLaren 765LT Spider is in high demand. The Saigon tycoon purchased this supercar through an official dealer, with a selling price of 29.3 billion VND. After being registered in Ho Chi Minh City, the car’s estimated value is over 32 billion VND.

The convertible supercar features an impressive exterior with a vibrant orange-red paint, distinguishing it from the McLaren Orange color of the 2 coupe versions. The car’s fundamental design is similar to the hard-top version, with the exception of the electrically operated folding roof and the completely sealed horizontal engine lid. This replaces the glass lid, enabling observation of the engine inside.

Compared to the coupe version (hard-top), the 765LT Spider weighs an additional 49 kg due to the folding roof mechanism. Nevertheless, the car’s weight is still lighter than the 720S Spider by around 80 kg, at about 1,388 kg. The roof can be opened or closed in 11 seconds, even when the car is operating at speeds below 50 km/h.

The owner chose to equip the British supercar with various carbon fiber details from MSO (McLaren Special Operations), such as the hood, side air splitters, front air splitters, engine bay covers, wing, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and aerodynamic kit.

The unique McLaren 765LT Spider in Vietnam also features a different set of wheels compared to the 4 coupe versions. It is equipped with 20-inch twin-spoke wheels, featuring a black surface and highlighted with orange brake calipers. This creates a beautiful exterior “tonal harmony”.

The interior also exhibits a combination of black and orange colors, with extensive use of carbon fiber and Alcantara materials. The steering wheel is minimalist, similar to the 720S, without any functional buttons. Apart from the new interface, the cabin design of the 765LT is not significantly different from the McLaren 720S.

Powering the McLaren 765LT Spider is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters. This engine produces a maximum power of 755 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm. It is paired with a rear-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. As a result, this supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 330 km/h.
