However, with the AMG Race Start feature, it can reach 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, thanks to the instant power boost to 677 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
Despite being a high-performance model, the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV does not have a sporty exterior and interior design. Instead, it has a smooth, luxurious, and modern style that suits the role of a daily driver, similar to the standard Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 SUV version.
The Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV comes with a blacked-out lower parts design, including the front bumper, air intakes, wheels, side moldings, and rear bumper. The front grille of the car also has a muscular design that is synchronized with the lower bumper. The car’s wheels also have AMG-specific designs.
The interior of the AMG EQE SUV has been updated with the latest generation of design style from Mercedes. The steering wheel has a familiar dual-spoke layout, and the seats are adorned with highlighted stitching details. The high-performance electric SUV shares the same exterior and interior design with the standard Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV version.
The AMG EQE SUV is equipped with electric motors on both the front and rear axles, providing higher current intensity and optimized power and motor speed.
The rear motor of the AMG EQE SUV has a six-phase design, improving responsiveness and acceleration. The motor system is liquid-cooled for the stator, providing better acceleration even in weak battery conditions or hot weather.
If the AMG Dynamic Plus option package is added, the car’s total power can be increased by 60 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque for a short period of time to improve acceleration.
A real-life experience shows that the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, faster than its competitors such as the BMW i-X M60 and the Audi SQ8 E-Tron.
The AMG EQE SUV immediately takes off as soon as the brake pedal is released, providing an intense feeling of excitement and adrenaline. Thanks to the liquid cooling system, the driver can perform repeated acceleration and deceleration phases.
Despite its elegant appearance, the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV still provides a heavy and dull feeling when it comes to cornering due to its weight. The suspension system on rough roads frequently compresses beyond the limits, even with the air suspension system set to the stiffest level.
The braking system on the car feels stiff and hard, resulting in poor deceleration. When driving on mountainous roads, the car’s stability control system heavily intervenes, making it difficult for the driver to have confident steering.
However, the AMG EQE SUV provides a smooth and comfortable driving experience on highways, with a quiet cabin and high power. The interior materials and finish are of high quality, and the seats are designed for comfort. The car also has a spacious luggage capacity.
The AMG EQE SUV is equipped with a 90.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be fast-charged. The car has an estimated range of about 370 km per full charge.
In terms of price, the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is expected to have a lighter price than its BMW competitors, making it a good choice in the luxury electric SUV market.
Despite not meeting the demands of speed enthusiasts, the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is still a worthy contender in the luxury electric SUV segment thanks to its outstanding acceleration abilities.
