After approximately 8 months since its global debut, the highly anticipated 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider convertible supercar has finally made its way to Southeast Asia.
With an after-tax price tag of over $1.2 billion USD (equivalent to around 30,000 billion VND), this car is the epitome of luxury and performance.
Like its Coupe counterpart, the 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider boasts a twin-turbo V8 engine with a displacement of 3.8 liters. This powerhouse delivers an impressive 612 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 760 Nm.
Equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, despite the added weight of 83.9 kg from the convertible mechanism and electric motor.
Unlike its “big brother” SF90 Spider, the Roma Spider does not feature a folding hardtop. Instead, Ferrari has opted for a lightweight fabric soft top. This 5-layer fabric roof can be opened or closed in a swift 13.5 seconds, as long as the car is traveling below 60 km/h.
For added convenience, the rear passenger can easily lower the roof by pressing a dedicated wind control button integrated on the backrest of the seats.
While other Ferrari models embrace modern design trends, the Roma Spider takes inspiration from classic cars, featuring elegant and flowing curves.
The Ferrari Roma Spider rides on 20-inch wheels, coupled with 245/35ZR20 front tires and 285/35ZR20 rear tires. The front brakes have a diameter of 390 mm, while the rear brakes measure 360 mm in diameter.
Inside the cabin, the Roma Spider retains most of its features from the Coupe version. The steering wheel still incorporates touch buttons, but now includes a red Start/Stop button for enhanced visibility and convenience.
The center console is subtly angled, creating a futuristic spaceship-like atmosphere. Moreover, customers can opt for 18-way power-adjustable sports seats with an additional neck warmer feature.
The car is equipped with various utility features, including a 16-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.4-inch vertical center screen. Additionally, there is an optional 8.8-inch passenger screen that displays crucial information such as operating parameters and navigation, and allows for convenient adjustments of the air conditioning and entertainment settings.
In Vietnam, there are currently 5 Ferrari Roma cars available, with 2 imported by private individuals and the remainder brought in by the official distributor. The post-tax retail price for this model ranges from 21 to 23 billion VND.
