2019 has been a monumental year for auto racing in Vietnam. It witnessed the largest number of races ever held in the country, both on a local and national scale. Not only did racing teams participate in domestic competitions, but they also competed in regional events. This marks a significant step forward from the Vô-lang Và ng 2008 (Golden Steering Wheel) organized by the Otofun.net Community, which was considered Vietnam’s first off-road driving skill competition, with only 2 racing teams and 7 athletes.
Since then, the race organized by Otofun.net has undergone numerous upgrades, both in terms of scale and nature of the competition. It has become a well-known brand, named Vietnam Offroad Cup (VOC).

As it reaches its 11th milestone, VOC has officially partnered with its first companion unit – PVOIL – which has been supporting the race for many years. With the support of other units, the Organizing Committee (OC) has been able to elevate the scale of the race to a more professional level. One of the upgrades includes an increase in prize money for teams with outstanding achievements, totaling more than VND 600 million in cash, which is twice the amount from previous races. The First Prize in the Extended category offers VND 110 million, the highest prize value ever in any racing competition in Vietnam.
PVOIL VOC 2019 returns with 4 categories: Vietnamese Pickups, Basic, Advanced, and Extended. The regulations have been modified to benefit athletes at all levels, with the aim of maximizing operational capabilities, minimizing damage, and enhancing safety for all participating vehicles and spectators.

This year, Adventure – the night challenge – will make its return after a one-year hiatus. It will take place on the first racing night, September 28. This leg of the race has a strong traditional character and serves as a surprise challenge for the participating athletes. It offers an unforgettable experience, where opponents become teammates and compete as a group with the spirit of “the test is only complete when the entire team reaches the finish line”.
In addition, the OC has invested in upgrading the timing and scoring system using chip cards. Furthermore, laser scoring technology will be tested in some competitions. The results will be displayed in real-time on the Otofun.net forum, providing racers and fans with immediate access to the information.
In its 11th season, PVOIL VOC 2019 will not only offer hundreds of thrilling performances on off-road tracks but also feature more activities to allow spectators to interact with the race.
In addition, the event will be extensively livestreamed on various platforms and devices. Viewers can watch PVOIL VOC 2019 directly on a 50m2 LED screen in the central area of the race, on various national television channels, or from anywhere with internet access.
With the goal of creating a “Safe – Transparent – Fair – Fun” racing movement, the OC continuously endeavors to develop VOC beyond just a driving skill competition. It aspires to become a festival for car and sports enthusiasts. The organizing committee also hopes to discover and nurture more talents to participate in international races. Simultaneously, the race will serve as a means of connection and encouragement for members to actively engage in community activities, social work, and charity in remote and underprivileged areas with poor transportation.
