The Honda Dream 2024 has recently been introduced to the Cambodian market and is now also available in Vietnam via private dealerships.
Honda Dream 2024 is an upgraded version of the 2023 model, developed and manufactured by NCX Honda in Cambodia. In Cambodia, this motorcycle is priced at around 2,500 USD (~61 million VND). Private dealers have imported this model to Vietnam.
According to research, private dealers in Vietnam are selling the Honda Dream 2024 at prices over 100 million VND. Some dealers are even selling it for over 140 million VND, making it almost twice as expensive as the premium Honda SH 125i scooter.
The Honda Dream was a popular motorcycle in Vietnam in the past but has been discontinued for a long time. Cambodia is one of the few markets in Southeast Asia where this motorcycle is still being produced. Due to its familiarity in Vietnam, there is still a demand for the Honda Dream, but the limited quantity and the need for import lead to inflated prices.
The Honda Dream 2024 has dimensions of 1,868 x 697 x 1,051 (mm), a wheelbase of 1,200 mm, a ground clearance of 143 mm, a seat height of 751 mm, and a weight of 98 kg. These specifications are the same as the 2023 version of the Honda Dream.
In terms of design, the Honda Dream 2024 is similar to the previous version with some modifications to differentiate it. The decorative decals on the body now have 3D graphics that create visual effects when exposed to light. The front cowl is also adorned with two yellow stripes, symbolizing the Cambodian royal family.
The golden copper casing attached to the front cowl also features new decorative motifs that complement the new decals. Details like the foot brake pedal and gear shift lever are chrome-plated for a shiny, classic appearance.
The display cluster on the Honda Dream 2024 has also undergone a redesign with yellow stripes and a unique sequence of diamond-shaped blocks. The plastic bezel surrounding the instrument panel is now gray instead of gold.
As for the powertrain, the Honda Dream 2024 is equipped with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 124cc and electronic fuel injection technology. The power and torque figures have not been announced yet. The engine is paired with a 4-speed transmission.
