The Hyundai Creta’s mid-life update is expected to be introduced in early 2024, following its launch in 2019.
Leaked images on Rushlane, an Indian car website, provide a glimpse of the upcoming Hyundai Creta.
According to the images, the new Hyundai Creta for India will have a distinct design compared to its predecessor. The front of the car features a wider radiator grille with decorative details similar to the new Verna sedan. The front lighting system adopts a two-tier design, with LED daytime running lights on top and main headlights below. Additionally, the car may include a touch-sensitive parking assist sensor, similar to the Kia Seltos facelift.
The Hyundai Creta facelift will also receive minor updates to its chrome accents, decorative strips, LED taillights, wheels, and shark fin antenna.
In terms of interior, the Hyundai Creta 2024 is expected to share many similarities with the Seltos facelift. The cabin will feature a dual-screen integrated into the dashboard, electrically adjustable seats, and ventilation, among other features.
The upgraded Hyundai Creta 2024 is likely to offer a technology package with 17 driving assist features, similar to the Seltos, along with 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, traction control, ABS brakes, electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and electronic stability control (ESP).
As for the powertrain, the current 1.4L turbocharged gasoline engine will be discontinued in the facelift version. Instead, the SUV will be equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine generating 115 horsepower. The 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine may also be available. There is also a possibility of an electric powertrain being added.
The anticipated launch date for the Hyundai Creta facelift in India is January 16, 2024. It is expected that the updated model will also make its way to Vietnam.
