Honda has recently announced its plans to unveil multiple new electric vehicle models at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States, from January 9 to 12, 2024.
Accompanying this announcement is a preview image of the front-end design of a concept car that will make its debut at CES 2024. The vehicle showcases a square-shaped front-end, a relatively low ground clearance, and a sleek sloping reverse hood design. The car’s distinctive front-end design and headlight cluster suggest that it is likely an evolved version of the e:N GT concept model, which was introduced in Shanghai earlier this year in April.
In April 2022, Honda unveiled its electric vehicle development roadmap through 2030. The Japanese automaker has ambitious plans to launch 30 new electric vehicle models in the market, with a targeted sales volume of approximately 2 million units per year.
Furthermore, Honda has also announced that it will be showcasing a range of new technologies at CES 2024, which signifies the brand’s transition in the upcoming years.
Last month, Honda made headlines when it ended its partnership with GM for electric vehicle development, citing a slowdown in the electric vehicle market. However, both companies will continue to pursue their own electrification goals independently.
Honda and GM are still collaborating in other areas, including their recently announced plan to launch autonomous taxis in Tokyo by 2026.
