Following almost a year of appearances at the emission inspection station, the new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Black Edition has recently been unveiled.
Accordingly, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Black Edition is now supplemented by a new red paint color. The new edition also features other black details such as the front grille, roof rails, roof, front bumper, rear bumper, air intakes, and black-painted wheels. The car offers 3 color options: white, red, and black.
In addition, the car is equipped with two new features: the Nano-X air filtration system and the tire pressure sensor. The tire pressure sensor is a standard feature available on both the 4×2 and 4×4 versions of this D-segment SUV model. On the other hand, the Nano-X air filtration system is only available for the 4×4 version.
Aside from the aforementioned changes, the car retains its previous equipment and design.
In the Vietnamese market, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Black Edition will be available in 2 versions: 4×2 and 4×4, with respective prices of 1.13 billion VND and 1.365 billion VND. These prices remain the same as the regular 4×2 and 4×4 versions.
Customers who purchase the car in November are currently being offered a 100% first registration fee exemption, which is equivalent to a cash incentive of 113 – 136.5 million VND. In addition, customers will also receive various gifts from the dealer.
Introduced as a mid-life facelift in Vietnam since 2020, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has not received any additional upgrades or new features until now.
This new Black Edition can be seen as an effort to attract user interest, stimulate purchasing demand, and increase competitiveness with segment rivals such as the Ford Everest and Toyota Fortuner.
In terms of the interior, the car features a 7-seater configuration with a range of amenities including leather seats, a leather steering wheel, a leather gear shift, 8-way power adjustable front seats, paddle shifters, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a 6-speaker audio system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and an electronic parking brake.
In any version, the car is equipped with a 4-cylinder MIVEC diesel engine with a displacement of 2.4L, producing a maximum power of 181 horsepower and a peak torque of 430 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 1 or 2 differential drive system.
When it comes to safety features, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport boasts a range of driving aids such as 6-7 airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and front/rear sensors as standard. The high-end version will also include additional features such as hill descent control, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, unintended acceleration suppression, forward collision warning/mitigation, and lane change assist.
