Just a few weeks after the previous price hike, Thaco has recently increased the listed prices of the Mazda CX-5 C-size SUV by 5-10 million VND, effective from December 1st.
The Mazda CX-5 2.0 Deluxe variant has seen a 10 million VND increase compared to its previous selling price, while the other variants using the 2.0 engine have had a slight increase of 5 million VND. Here are the new listed prices for this SUV model:
Mazda Vietnam has not provided an explanation for this price increase. However, according to sales consultants at the dealership, the reason behind it is the increase in component import prices.
Last month, the Mazda CX-5 2.0 Luxury, 2.0 Premium, 2.0L Premium Sport, and 2.0L Premium Exclusive variants were adjusted to increase by 5 million VND. Therefore, after two adjustments, all variants using the 2.0 engine have increased by 10 million VND, while the 2.5 variants remain unchanged in price.
In July 2023, Thaco introduced an upgraded version of the Mazda CX-5 during its lifecycle in Vietnam. The new version features some minor changes in the exterior design and additional equipment. However, the surprising thing is that the price of the car is lower than the previous version by 90 million VND.
The attractive price has created a frenzy in the Vietnamese market for the Mazda CX-5. According to sales data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the Mazda CX-5 has been the best-selling model in the market for the past three months (August, September, and October), with sales of over 2,000 units per month.
In the list of best-selling cars since the beginning of the year, the Mazda CX-5 has climbed to the second place with a total of 13,031 units sold, just behind the Mitsubishi Xpander (over 15,000 units).
