Racecar Accident Involving Rowan Atkinson, AKA Mr. Bean
Beloved English actor Rowan Atkinson, famously known as “Mr. Bean,” was involved in a vintage car race called the Shelby Cup at Goodwood on September 13th. The event was organized to celebrate 60 years of the V8 engine. Sadly, the race took a turn for the worse when the 59-year-old comedy icon encountered an unfortunate accident.
During the race, “Mr. Bean” was behind the wheel of his vintage green Ford Falcon Sprint. According to the Telegraph, the accident occurred when a fellow competitor suddenly lost control of their vehicle, causing it to swerve off the track.
Another driver skillfully maneuvered to avoid colliding with the car that had lost control. However, due to the narrow space between the vehicles and the unexpected turn of events, “Mr. Bean” was unable to halt his Ford Falcon Sprint in time. As a result, his vintage car collided head-on with the vehicle involved in the initial accident. Thankfully, the well-known British actor emerged from the incident unharmed.

Over the years, “Mr. Bean” has participated in numerous races at Goodwood. Aside from his love for racing, the star of “Johnny English: Reborn” possesses an impressive collection of cars, which includes a Honda NSX, Jaguar Mk7, Aston Martin DB2, BMW 328 1939, Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, and the legendary McLaren F1.

This is not the first time “Mr. Bean” has faced a car accident. In 2011, his multi-million-dollar McLaren F1 supercar crashed into a tree after losing control at high speed. Fortunately, “Mr. Bean” escaped unscathed, although the McLaren F1 incurred significant damage. The insurance company had to pay £910,000 (approximately $1.47 million) for the car’s repairs, which took over a year to complete. Recently, “Mr. Bean” has been spotted driving his McLaren F1 on the streets.
