Returning to the “homeland,” the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 still bears the “marks” of a more than 3-month journey from South to North, passing through China and even Mongolia.

Porsche Vietnam recently shared images of the limited edition sports car Porsche 911 Dakar owned by a tycoon from Hai Phong. After more than 3 months of traveling across the country, the car has finally arrived at the dealership in Ho Chi Minh City. These images have garnered significant attention from the online community, with many people expressing their admiration and respect for the owner’s adventurous spirit.

It is known that just 5 days after taking delivery of the sports car worth over 16 billion VND, the Hai Phong tycoon embarked on a journey with his companions, driving three cars: the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, and the Ford Ranger Raptor. They traveled from Vietnam to China and ventured into the Gobi Desert. This off-road supercar has overcome various terrains, including deserts, snowy roads, mountains, and even water crossings. The Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is estimated to have covered approximately 35,000 km during this journey.

The Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 featured in the article is the first officially imported car of its kind in Vietnam and is one of only 2,500 cars produced worldwide. The German masterpiece arrived in the country in August. The car has been customized according to the owner’s requests, with special details such as a signature on the door sill, an additional anti-rollover frame, a roof rack, a front LED light bar, and other accessories for off-road driving.

The Porsche 911 Dakar is based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has been enhanced to tackle various terrains. Porsche has fine-tuned the suspension system and increased the car’s ground clearance by 80 mm compared to regular 911 models, reaching a threshold of 200 mm.

Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and an AWD system. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240 km/h.
