Volkswagen dealers in Vietnam are now accepting deposits for the upcoming Teramont X model, with an expected price of VND 2.168 billion.

Sales consultants have stated that the car is likely to be launched in December and the first batch of cars will be delivered before the Lunar New Year.

The Teramont X is developed based on the renowned MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group. It has dimensions of 4,917 x 1,989 x 1,729 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,980 mm. With these dimensions, the car competes in the large SUV segment, going head-to-head with the Hyundai Palisade, Ford Explorer, and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

The Volkswagen Teramont X boasts a sporty and rugged appearance. The front of the car is impressive with a dual-layer lighting system that incorporates LED matrix technology and an “L”-shaped LED strip. Additionally, the front bumper of the car has been refined for added style.

The car’s rear features a pair of taillights that are connected by a black trim. It is accompanied by a square-shaped rear bumper, underneath which you’ll find two faux exhaust pipes.

As for the interior, the Teramont X offers a spacious 5-seat configuration. It boasts a range of exceptional features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch touch screen entertainment system, a head-up display (HUD), a premium 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, electronic parking brake, wireless charging, interior decorative lights, panoramic sunroof, and power-operated tailgate with kick sensor.

The Teramont X is expected to come with a variety of safety technologies, including intelligent cruise control, a 360-degree camera, collision warning, automatic braking, automatic parking assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, attention assist, front and rear sensors, and door open warning when parking.

In Vietnam, the Teramont X is likely to be equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, producing 217 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. In China, the car is also available with a 2.5L V6 turbocharged petrol engine, producing 295 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

Both engine options are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission and a 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
