On December 8, 2023, the third generation of the Bestune B70, a mid-size sedan owned by the FAW Group, was officially launched with significant changes to its exterior compared to the previous generation.
The Bestune B70 has been a staple in the Bestune D-segment sedan lineup since its introduction in 2006. However, the 2024 Bestune B70 differs from its predecessors as it is no longer based on the Mazda 6 platform. Instead, the FAW Group has developed it entirely on their own, just like the third generation.

Car Pricing
The new Bestune B70 is available in two configurations: standard and premium, priced at 129,900 Chinese yuan to 137,900 Chinese yuan, which translates to approximately 426 million to 452 million Vietnamese dong. With this price range, Vietnamese customers can’t even afford the automatic version of the Hyundai Accent 2023.
New Car Features
The new Bestune B70, also known as the Pentium B70, embraces the brand’s new design language characterized by strength, purity, and sophistication.
First and foremost, the car features an unframed front grille shape accentuated by intricate logo details, a permeable light strip, and split headlights, which give the car a more fashionable and youthful appearance.
Moreover, the high ridges on the hood of this new generation mid-size sedan impart a sporty feel.
From the side, the 2024 Bestune B70 showcases a double waistline design, one running from the headlights to the taillights, and elevated ridges on the front and rear wheels. This not only adds visual depth to the car but also enhances its sportiness.
Furthermore, the thickened wheel spokes lend a touch of sophistication. At the rear, the car features popular full-through taillights, complemented by a dual exhaust layout with two exhaust outlets positioned on each side, which meets contemporary aesthetic expectations.
Regarding its dimensions, the length of the new Bestune B70 measures 4,855 mm, an increase of 45 mm compared to the current model, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, firmly establishing its position as a mid-size sedan.
Car Interior
Inside, the new Bestune B70 boasts a dual-screen layout consisting of a full LCD instrument panel and a multimedia control screen.
In addition, the car is equipped with two-way air vents, contributing to its overall stylish appearance. The multi-function two-spoke steering wheel design and the center console with physical buttons exude a luxurious feel. The gearshift lever and buttons are thoughtfully arranged.
The rear seats of the new Bestune B70 provide ample space for three adults. There are also two cupholders and wireless charging features situated between the two front seats…
Transmission System
Powering the new Bestune B70 is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine without an electric motor combination, aligning with the prevailing trend among many car brands.
Under the hood, the heart of the new Bestune B70 churns out a maximum power of 224 horsepower and a peak torque of 340 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Aisin.
Competitors
Since its debut in 2006, the Bestune B70 has witnessed remarkable transformations in the Chinese car market. Its pricing and size make it a worthy competitor to foreign compact models such as the Volkswagen Sagitar and Toyota Corolla. Moreover, its price range positions it within the mid-range and economy segments, where larger vehicles like the Hyundai Mingtu, Ford Mondeo, and Peugeot 408X operate.
It is worth noting that Chinese brands now also offer high-quality products for customers to choose from, including the Geely Xingrui and Chery Arrizo 8. The emergence of new energy vehicles has expanded the choices available to users, and the likes of Dark Blue SL03 and Roewe D7 are also noteworthy.
Opinions
The overall appearance of the new B70 maintains a stable look instead of following a more youthful direction. It clearly showcases its positioning and selling points. In November of this year, Bestune’s brand achieved sales of 12,473 units.
With cumulative sales exceeding 100,000 units in the first 11 months of this year, the brand has reached the production and sales level of 100,000 units for the first time in 3 years. The introduction of the new Bestune B70 in December is expected to further stimulate sales and contribute to an increase in the brand’s overall sales volume.
