At the 2023 Quang Chau Auto Exhibition held in November, Voyah, a subsidiary brand of Dong Phong Auto Group, unveiled the Passion PHEV sedan model. The sedan starts at 266,900 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to 866 million Vietnamese dong.
Till the evening of December 5th, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 has been officially launched. It comes with several promotional programs, and the official selling price is lower than expected.
Pre-sale price
In this launch, Voyah will introduce two new sedan models of the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023, priced at 252,800 Chinese yuan (equivalent to 830 million Vietnamese dong) and 277,800 Chinese yuan (equivalent to 912 million Vietnamese dong).
Moreover, next year Voyah will release a limited edition version of the Passion PHEV 2023 designed for CEOs. This version will have a starting price of 358,800 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to 1.18 billion Vietnamese dong.
Since its pre-sale at the Quang Chau Auto Exhibition, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 has received over 10,000 orders in just 5 hours and 11 minutes. All new Voyah products will now be available in a plug-in hybrid version.
Exterior design
The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 shows noticeable differences in its front appearance compared to the pure electric models. It features a larger grille and an optimized surrounding frame on the front, which visually widens the entire front section.
The daytime running lights on the center grille are connected to the left and right headlights. The center grille also boasts a matrix arrangement of small Voyah logos, with the center logo able to illuminate on its own. The headlights have a deep black color and come with two lenses.
In terms of body design, the difference between the PHEV and pure electric models lies mainly in the more sporty design of the Vahn Voyah Passion PHEV 2023. It features a multi-spoke design, while pure electric models use rims with low wind resistance.
The entire body is slim, with a rear coupe-like design and chrome trim details on both sides. The rear doors are not small and exude a business style.
The overall dimensions of the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 are as follows: length 5088mm, width 1970mm, height 1505mm, with a wheelbase length of 3000mm.
The rear of the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 retains the design of the pure electric model, featuring translucent taillights. The taillight shape also reflects the Voyah logo style, with a unique decorative light in the middle of the tail. The rear bumper integrates a dynamic diffusion kit.

The interior design of both electric and PHEV models is exactly the same. The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 features a transparent central control screen design. The car’s interior is equipped with 4 screens, including 3 on the transparent screen and 1 below the central control panel.
The allocation of functions to the 4 screens is clear: the instrument panel displays vehicle status, the central control screen serves as the main menu and provides commonly used functions, the passenger screen offers entertainment options such as videos and radio networks, and the screen below the central control panel is mainly used to control air conditioning, seats, and other frequently used operations.
The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 is equipped with a twist-type gear design and a wireless charging base. The front and rear seats are spacious and comfortable, with electric adjustment, seat heating, and ventilation.
The rear seats have independent control panels that offer control over seat heating, ventilation, massage, air conditioning temperature, and in some cases, footrests are provided. The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 also features a two-part sunroof. The new trunk is flat, but has no room for expansion.
Powertrain
The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 will be equipped with two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear. Additionally, it will have a special hybrid gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters and a maximum power output of 100 kilowatts. The total engine power is 290 kilowatts, and the battery has a capacity of 43 kWh, supplied by Honeycomb Energy and CLTC pure.
The electric travel range is 262 km, and when combined with the gasoline engine, the comprehensive CLTC travel range is 1,260 km. Notably, this model has a fuel consumption rate of only 0.5 liters/100 km, which is much lower than motorcycles. The Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 also features a CDC+ air suspension system with an amazing carpet function.
In terms of advanced intelligent driving features, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 offers 36 intelligent driving configurations, including point-to-point NOA high-speed pilot driving, automatic uphill and downhill recognition, automatic lane change, parallel avoidance, edge avoidance, and optimal lane selection in urban and high-speed highway situations, as well as other practical and commonly used functions.
Furthermore, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 can perform remote controlled parking in the complete RPA scenario, automatic parking in the complete APA scenario, reversible monitoring in RDA, and remote movement of the vehicle in RVM. Finally, it is equipped with the valet parking feature called HPP.

The main competitor of the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 is the BYD Han. Comparatively, the Han offers a wider price range, providing consumers with more choices and a lower starting price.
While both vehicles offer a good comfortable experience, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 boasts a longer electric travel range and is more suitable for consumers who may face difficulties in charging their batteries due to limited infrastructure. Additionally, the Voyah Passion PHEV 2023 exhibits a stronger technological consciousness.
