Located in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, there are two S 63 and S 65 AMG cars available at a private car showroom. Both cars are from the previous generation (W221). The S 65 AMG was manufactured in 2008, while the S 63 AMG is a newer model from 2012. These luxury cars are made in Germany.

What sets these cars apart is their brand new condition, having never been used in Vietnam. The car seats are still wrapped in plastic. The S 65 AMG is extremely rare, while the S 63 AMG has a larger user base. The price of the S 65 AMG exceeds tens of billion VND, whereas the S 63 AMG is priced lower. A used S 63 AMG from the same year 2012 would have a resale value of nearly 2 billion VND on the used car market. Hence, it is not surprising that these unused cars have a much higher price. These cars are not only new but also hold collectible value for car enthusiasts.

The 2008 S 65 AMG is the most powerful version of the S-Class available in Vietnam at that time. It is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine, generating an impressive power output of 612 horsepower and a torque of 1,000 Nm. This powertrain is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system.

The 2012 S 63 AMG also delivers high performance, although its engine is not as powerful as the S 65 AMG. The engine in this model is a 5.5-liter V8, producing 536 horsepower with a torque of 800 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system.

The S 65 AMG showcases a silver exterior and boasts iconic 5-spoke star-shaped wheels that define the AMG line. Despite being over 10 years old, the car still exudes a modern interior design. In front of the driver, there are 2 large screens, including a digital screen behind the steering wheel and another one in the center. At the back, the rear seats boast a separate screen placed in the middle of the front armrest. The interior is configured to accommodate 4 passengers. Despite its focus on performance, the S 65 AMG is equipped with the most luxurious amenities in its class, catering to the comfort of rear passengers.

The S 63 AMG, on the other hand, stands out with its black paint job. The wheels have been replaced with a new double-spoke star design. The interior of this car features a striking two-tone color scheme of cream and black. The interior design of the S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG is nearly identical. The S 63 AMG accommodates 5 passengers but does not have rear screens.

Earlier, Mercedes-Benz adopted the AMG suffix for their high-performance sport versions, such as Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG. However, starting from early 2016, this line of cars was renamed as Mercedes-AMG, for instance, the Mercedes-AMG S 63.

Currently, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam exclusively offers the luxury line Mercedes-Maybach, rather than the Mercedes-AMG sports versions of the S-Class. In early 2016, the Mercedes-AMG S 65 had an official price of 12.8 billion VND, which increased to nearly 18.2 billion VND after June 2016 due to changes in the special consumption tax.
