Despite being recently introduced in the Vietnamese market, the MG RX5 has quickly captured the attention of dealers who are offering attractive incentives to attract customers.
At a dealership, the 2024 MG RX5 is currently available with a cash discount equivalent to 100% of the registration fee. Specifically, the standard version of the MG RX5, with a listed price of 739 million VND, is now priced at 699 million VND for the first 299 customers as per the company’s policy. Additionally, the dealership is further reducing the price by approximately 600 million VND. The highest-end RX5 model, previously priced at 829 million VND, is now available for 799 million VND and further reduced to just over 700 million VND at the dealership.
The actual selling price of the MG RX5 is highly competitive, comparable to B-segment SUVs/CUVs such as the Mazda CX-3, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos in the C-segment SUV/CUV category.
The MG RX5 has dimensions of 4,571 x 1,855 x 1,719 mm (length x width x height). Similar to other MG models, the RX5 boasts a youthful and modern design. The front of the car is visually striking with a large grille shaped like an hourglass, reminiscent of Lexus.
The headlight cluster is surrounded by a distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running light. Beneath, there are two large vertically positioned air vents. The high-end version of the MG RX5 also includes carbon fiber trims and a front spoiler with aerodynamic flaps.
The rear lights of the MG RX5 have a similar design to the headlights, resulting in a seamless look for the exterior. Additionally, the car is equipped with a roof spoiler with a cat’s ear shape (only available on the high-end version) that improves stability at high speeds and contributes to a sportier appearance for the CUV.
Inside the cabin, the MG RX5 showcases a modern interior with seating for 5. The seats are upholstered in dual-tone leather, while the dashboard and door panels are adorned with wood accents. The car features a three-spoke steering wheel accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The center controls seamlessly integrate with the car’s 14.1-inch center touchscreen, which is vertically oriented.
Under the hood, the MG RX5 is equipped with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering a maximum output of 168 horsepower and a peak torque of 275 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that boasts quick shifting times of as little as 0.2 seconds.
