Residents in Dong Nai province cannot currently renew or obtain new driver’s licenses.

On May 25th, the Department of Transportation in Dong Nai province announced a temporary halt to the acceptance of applications for license renewal or issuance. The reason provided is the unavailability of driver’s license (GPLX) forms at the Department of Transportation and Communications.

The applications submitted for license issuance or renewal from May 22nd to May 25th are pending completion due to the shortage of forms.

Prior to May 19th, the Department of Transportation in Dong Nai province had requested the provision of GPLX forms. As of May 25th, the department has not received any response from the Vietnam Road Administration and the Road Management Authority IV regarding the timeline for the provision of forms to the department.

Starting from today (May 26th), the Department of Transportation in Dong Nai province temporarily suspends the acceptance of applications for license issuance or renewal. The department will announce the resumption of application acceptance once the Vietnam Road Administration provides the forms again.

About a month ago, the Department of Transportation in Dong Nai province postponed the driving test sessions scheduled for May at all examination centers and driving training facilities in the province.
