Recently, Suzuki, a Japanese car manufacturer, has officially launched the 2024 version of its popular Swift model.

The new Swift model is based on the original concept design that was first showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 exhibition in late October.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift has a length of 3,860mm, a width of 1,695mm, and a height of 1,500mm, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Compared to its previous generation, the 2024 Swift is longer by 20mm, taller by 5mm, and narrower by 40mm.

The new generation Swift retains the essential design elements of its predecessor. The front fascia now features a smaller honeycomb grille while the Suzuki “S” logo has been repositioned near the hood. The headlights have been redesigned and are accompanied by a smaller front air vent and additional faux aluminum trims.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift still maintains its two-tone color scheme with black door mirrors, pillars, and roof, but with an added crease above the door handles. The rear door handles have returned to the traditional style and are no longer hidden on the C-pillar.

The rear of the car showcases smaller and more square-shaped LED taillights, complemented by a black rear bumper.

In terms of the interior, the cabin of the new Suzuki Swift appears to have been inherited from the concept version. It is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen center display that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and satellite navigation. The Swift 2024 now features lever-style air conditioning controls instead of circular knobs, an improvement from the previous generation.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift also includes a CD player located above the USB ports.

Furthermore, the car offers other amenities such as heated front seats, automatic climate control, 2 USB ports, front/rear parking sensors, paddle shifters, and a 360-degree camera system.

In terms of safety features, the vehicle is equipped with basic driving assistance functions including improved emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic reverse braking, automatic headlights, and traffic sign recognition.

The 2024 Suzuki Swift is powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an undisclosed CVT transmission. Suzuki claims that this new engine will provide improved fuel efficiency and performance.

The gasoline engine is accompanied by an electric motor to enhance fuel efficiency and acceleration, although it does not support temporary electric-only operation. The drivetrain options include front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Suzuki has not yet announced the official price of the 2024 Swift. However, the company has confirmed that the car will be available for sale in Japan soon.

It is expected that after being introduced in the Japanese market, the 2024 Suzuki Swift will also be launched in other countries, including Vietnam.

If it retains the same utility features offered in Japan, the new Swift could potentially be a strong competitor to the Mazda2 in Vietnam.
