Newly, the Vietnam joint auction company has once again put license plate 30K-567.89 up for auction, marking the third time it has been offered. In the previous auction session on September 15, the license plate was auctioned for 13.075 billion VND. However, the winning bidder later withdrew their bid.

On October 28, the license plate was auctioned for the second time and received a winning bid of over 16.5 billion VND, which was higher than the previous auction. It seemed that a new owner had been found for the license plate, but unfortunately, the bidder of the second auction also failed to fulfill their financial obligations within the 15-day deadline. As a result, the license plate was put up for auction again, marking its third appearance.
In the latest auction session held this morning, the license plate 30K-567.89 was sold for 12.57 billion VND. Although this amount may seem “modest” compared to the previous auctions, it is still considered very high.
According to the regulations on vehicle license plate auctions, the winning bidder must make a full payment (after deducting the deposit) into the specialized account of the Ministry of Public Security within 15 days from the announcement of the results. Once the full payment is received, the Ministry of Public Security will issue an electronic invoice for the auctioned license plate to the winning bidder, allowing them to proceed with the vehicle registration process. The deadline for registering a vehicle with an auctioned license plate is 12 months.
If the winning bidder fails to make the full payment within the 15-day deadline or fails to complete the license plate registration process within 12 months, the auction result will be cancelled. In this case, the violator will not be refunded the deposit of 40 million VND or the winning bid amount they have paid. License plates that have been cancelled as mentioned above will be put up for auction again. If there are no participants in the auction, the license plates will be returned to the inventory for random allocation.
