The competition for the title of the best-selling car of 2023 is nearing its end. Although there is still a month left until the end of the year, the rankings for the top-selling cars of the year are starting to surface.

No one else but the three models that consistently rank among the top best-selling cars of each month: Mitsubishi Xpander, Mazda CX-5, and Hyundai Accent.

Mitsubishi Xpander

Over the past 10 months, Mitsubishi Xpander has shown impressive sales growth, with 15,464 units sold.

This achievement not only enabled Mitsubishi’s model to lead the MPV segment in the country but also made it the best-selling car in Vietnam for the year.

This can be considered a remarkable result for the MPV model from the Japanese brand, especially in a volatile market due to the impact of the pandemic.

In the Vietnamese market, Mitsubishi Xpander is available in 4 versions with prices ranging from 560 to 658 million VND.

Compared to its competitors in the same segment, Mitsubishi Xpander has numerous advantages, including modern exterior design, spacious interior with 7 seats suitable for families, the highest ground clearance in the segment for flexible off-road capability, robust and stable suspension system for an enhanced driving experience and comfort on every journey, outstanding fuel efficiency, and competitive pricing, suitable for the budgets of most Vietnamese users.

Mazda CX-5

Ranking second after the Xpander is the C-size CUV model Mazda CX-5. Over the past 10 months, this model has achieved sales of 13,031 units and has consistently topped the entire market for 3 consecutive months.

Since its upgraded version was launched in July, Mazda CX-5 has been well received by users due to its “affordable” price range of 749 to 999 million VND in the segment.

Currently, sales of Mazda CX-5 account for nearly half of the market share in the C-size SUV/CUV segment, prompting many competitors to adjust their prices for easier competition.

The Mazda CX-5 2023 is equipped with two engine options. The first is the SkyActiv-G 2.0L engine with 154 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm at 4,000 rpm, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. The car has 2 driving modes: Normal and Sport.

The second option is the Skyactiv-G 2.5L engine with a maximum output of 188 horsepower and a maximum torque of 252 Nm, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system (AWD).

The car is equipped with G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus), an advanced acceleration control technology that actively enhances the vehicle’s stability. This system also allows control of the timing of direction changes by affecting the braking system to enhance the car’s stability, especially when exiting corners and swiftly returning the car to a straight line.

In addition, Mazda CX-5 2023 is also equipped with safety driving assist features such as a 360 camera, active braking and steering technology, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, 6 airbags, ABS braking assist, electronic stability control, etc.

Hyundai Accent

Hyundai Accent ranks third in the top best-selling cars of 2023 with a total accumulated sales of 13,014 units.

Accent is a sedan that is highly popular in Vietnam and a heavyweight competitor that consistently competes with the Toyota Vios. With its youthful design, sufficient utility equipment, and numerous options, Accent is always favored by young customers.

Hyundai Accent is produced by Hyundai Motor Company. This sedan was first introduced in 1994 and has undergone multiple updates and upgrades to maintain its competitiveness against its rivals in the small sedan segment.

The car is powered by a Kappa 1.4L MPI engine with 4 cylinders, producing a maximum output of approximately 100 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 142 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

Accompanying the Kappa engine is a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual transmission, providing a better driving experience, along with front-wheel drive. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 45 liters.

Hyundai Accent is currently available in Vietnam in 4 versions, with listed prices ranging from 426 to 542 million VND.
