In Vietnam, high-performance SUVs are attracting a lot of attention from the wealthy. Despite being expensive and rare, these cars cannot be denied in terms of their applicability and high safety.

High-performance SUVs are currently a trend in many car markets around the world, including Vietnam. These models have many outstanding advantages such as powerful performance, high ground clearance, youthful and modern design, numerous amenities, spacious and comfortable interiors, suitable for the needs of many customers.

Here are some of the fastest and most powerful SUV models on the market today:

Aston Martin DBX707 – 707 horsepower

Recently launched, the DBX707 has become one of the dominant forces in terms of performance and driving experience. This SUV offers a different and classy powerful driving experience while still perfectly inheriting the racing characteristics of the brand.

Nicknamed the fastest SUV in the world at the moment, the DBX707 is equipped with a V8 engine, 4.0L twin-turbocharged, and a wet clutch 9-speed automatic transmission, allowing the engine to produce up to 707 horsepower and 900Nm of torque. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

The DBX707 also features the new electronic limited-slip differential (e-diff) rear axle system, which automatically handles high torque, enhances reaction when shifting gears, ensuring stability when cornering, increasing the excitement and dynamic characteristics of a true sports car.

Another aspect of improving the performance of the DBX707 is the standard carbon ceramic brake system, with 420mm diameter front and 390mm rear discs with 6-piston brake calipers, reducing the weight of the suspension system by 40.5kg. Adjustments to the size of the brake oil tube and the power assist system help improve brake pedal feel and brake response to provide high accuracy and confidence for the driver. The Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH) system is also standard on the DBX707, making it more comfortable for the driver when driving in urban areas.

The DBX707 is a symbol of a new era for Aston Martin, combining luxury vehicles and high-performance of the British brand.

The DBX707 is currently available through official distribution channels in Vietnam with two exterior color options: Satin Jet Black and Satin Aluminite Silver. The SUV is priced at VND 21.8 billion.

Lamborghini Urus – 641 horsepower

The Lamborghini Urus is the first SUV from the Italian supercar brand, launched at the end of 2017 and officially introduced to the market in 2018.

It can be said that the Lamborghini Urus has created a new segment: the Super SUV, positioning itself as a benchmark for power, performance, driving dynamics, design, luxury, and everyday usability.

The car has a rugged and powerful appearance with design details inspired by the hexagonal carbon atomic structure and Y-shaped patterns.

The Lamborghini Urus is only second to the Aston Martin DBX707 in terms of performance. The Urus also impressed speed enthusiasts with its 4.0L biturbo V8 engine, delivering 641 horsepower and 850Nm of torque. All the power of this engine is transmitted to all four wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. As a result, the Urus can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 305 km/h.

The Lamborghini Urus is equipped with a new four-wheel drive system that integrates an electronic LSD center differential and a rear differential to independently distribute torque to the right and left rear wheels. Specifically, in the normal state, torque will be distributed in a ratio of 40/60 for the front/rear wheels, but in some situations, the distribution ratio can be maximized to 70% for the wheels and 87% for the rear wheels.

In Vietnam, the Lamborghini Urus is officially distributed with a price of VND 13.1 billion.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT – 631 horsepower

Globally introduced for the first time in June last year, the 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is dubbed the fastest SUV in the history of the German brand.

As of now, a total of 3 Cayenne Turbo GT 2022 have arrived in Vietnam. The SUV has eye-catching and sporty exterior and a luxurious and comfortable interior.

As the most powerful and most expensive version of the Cayenne, the Cayenne Turbo GT is equipped with a modified twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine with many new components, resulting in a maximum output of 631 horsepower and 849 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed modified automatic transmission to shift gears faster, and the renowned 4Matic all-wheel-drive system has been upgraded to fit the new performance level of the 4.0L engine.

In addition, the car is also equipped with a new water-cooled intercooler for the Porsche Power Steering Plus system. The top version of the Cayenne only takes 3.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 – 96 km/h, before reaching a top speed of 299 km/h.

In addition, Porsche has made some upgrades to the suspension system to improve the handling of the Cayenne Turbo GT. Specifically, the suspension system on the GT version is lower by 17 mm and stiffer by 15% compared to the Cayenne Turbo Coupe. The German automaker also updates the active roll control system, rear-wheel steering system, engine mount control, and acceleration control.

The flagship version of the Cayenne is now available from VND 12.25 billion, excluding options.

Maserati Levante Trofeo – 590 horsepower

When it comes to high-performance SUVs, the Maserati Levante Trofeo cannot be overlooked. It is considered a worthy rival to the Lamborghini Urus.

Maserati Levante Trofeo exudes a masculine, sporty appearance. The Maserati’s super SUV has overall dimensions of 5020 x 2158 x 1698 mm. Inside the super SUV is a luxurious and spacious interior. Every detail in the cabin is exquisitely finished by Maserati’s master craftsmen.

The Levante Trofeo uses a twin-turbocharged V8 3.8L engine developed by Ferrari. This engine produces a maximum output of 590 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque at a range of 2,500 – 3,500 rpm. It is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system. In addition, the Levante Trofeo is the only version that integrates the Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) system. This system is responsible for improving agility, optimizing performance during operation, thus providing owners with exciting and fierce driving experiences.

The Maserati Levante is the first SUV in the Italian “Trident” family. This model has a total of 4 versions, including the standard version, S version, GTS version, and the top-of-the-line Trofeo version. The official price of the SUV ranges from VND 14 billion.

In addition to smooth and comfortable operation (with an extremely quiet cabin), the Mercedes-AMG G63 scores points with its confident attitude when conquering the toughest and roughest roads – something that almost all competitors in the same segment cannot achieve. To achieve this, the credit largely goes to the adaptive suspension system with electronic adjustments and the renowned 4Matic all-wheel-drive system from the German automaker.

The official price of the 2022 AMG G63 (the new generation) from Mercedes-Benz Vietnam is VND 10.95 billion. On-road price is VND 12.3 billion.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan – 563 horsepower

Although it was introduced to the world a long time ago, the first Rolls-Royce Cullinan only arrived in Vietnam in the middle of 2019.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the model that marks the comprehensive change of the British brand because until now, Rolls-Royce has only been known for producing low-ground super luxury cars. Not only having a shiny and prestigious appearance, exuding a royal and luxurious style, the car has a luxurious and comfortable interior, and the entire cabin is made of high-quality materials such as precious wood or leather.

In addition, the Cullinan has excellent off-road capability with an AWD drive mechanism replacing the RWD on previous models. This mechanism is closely linked to the self-adjusting air suspension system that Rolls-Royce has specially tuned for off-road or highway driving.

The “heart” of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is a twin-turbocharged 6.75L V12 engine that generates a maximum power of 563 horsepower and a peak torque of 850 Nm at 1,600 rpm.
