A private car dealership is offering the Toyota Alphard petrol version at a price of VND 4.68 billion, which is more than VND 300 million higher than the listed price.
Just a few days after its official launch in Vietnam on November 22, the Toyota Alphard 2024 has already made its way to authorized dealerships. The car is available in two versions: petrol and hybrid, with prices of VND 4.37 billion and VND 4.475 billion, respectively. The first batch of cars has arrived with limited units, and there are already customers who have placed their orders.
In the car market, several private dealerships have announced higher selling prices for the Toyota Alphard 2024 compared to the listed price. Specifically, an independent showroom that is not part of Toyota’s authorized distribution system has set a price of VND 4.68 billion for the petrol version of Alphard, which is over VND 300 million higher. Currently, the hybrid version is “out of stock,” so showrooms are only accepting pre-orders at the listed price.
The Toyota Alphard 2024 is developed on a completely new frame system based on the global TNGA design platform. It has dimensions of 5,010 x 1,850 x 1,950 (mm) for length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase length of 3,000 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the new Alphard is 65 mm longer and 55 mm taller.
According to Toyota Vietnam’s announcement, the power sliding doors have been improved to reduce noise when opening and closing. The outside rear-view mirror has electric adjustment and folding functions, automatic adjustment when reversing with added mirror defogging and position memory. Additionally, the rear trunk has electric opening and closing buttons on both sides of the car.
The interior of the Alphard 2024 is designed to be more luxurious and modern compared to the previous generation. The second-row seats are arranged as 2 independent seats and come with ventilation, heating, massage, and footrests. Moreover, the armrest of the middle two seats also features a touch screen for passengers to adjust features such as the audio system, air conditioning, car ceiling lights, car curtains, and other amenities.
Under the hood of this luxurious MPV, there are 2 engine options. The first option is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with a capacity of 2.4L, producing a maximum power of 275 horsepower and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The second option is the hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 4-cylinder, 2.5L petrol engine, an electric motor, an e-CVT transmission, and a NiMH battery. The petrol engine has a maximum power of 185 horsepower and a maximum torque of 233 Nm. As for the electric motor, it has a maximum power of 180 horsepower and a maximum torque of 270 Nm.
The safety features of the Toyota Alphard 2024 include pre-collision warning (PCS), lane departure warning (LDA), lane keeping assist (LTA), adaptive automatic high beam headlights (AHS), dynamic radar cruise control (DRCC), blind spot monitoring (BSM), rear-cross traffic alert (RCTA), tire pressure warning (TPWS), 360-degree camera, safety exit assist (SEA), parking support brake (PKSB), 8 parking sensors, and 6 airbags.
