Toyota has announced that the new generation Camry will be officially launched on November 14th.
The current generation Camry was introduced in 2017 and Toyota needs to improve this model in order to maintain its competitive advantage, especially with rivals like the Honda Accord and Kia K5 already releasing their updated versions.
An important piece of information has been confirmed, stating that the 2024 Camry will feature a hybrid system combined with a full-time AWD 4WD system. Toyota may equip this sedan with the Hybrid Max drivetrain, which includes a 2.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors. In the new Toyota Crown, this engine generates 340 horsepower and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

The new generation Toyota Camry is developed based on the improved TNGA-K chassis platform, similar to the 2023 Crown. The design of this sedan is still kept under wraps, but a leaked image shows that the 2024 Camry boasts a front headlight cluster resembling the Prius. The rear of the car features new taillights and the word “Camry” placed high on the trunk lid.
The 2024 Toyota Camry will have a starting price of no higher than $30,000 (approximately 730 million VND). The current version is priced at $27,515 (about 668 million VND) for the base configuration, inclusive of additional fees. The Camry’s price is significantly lower than that of its direct competitor, the Honda Accord, which currently starts at $28,990 (about 700 million VND).

In Vietnam, the Toyota Camry is currently available in 4 different versions with prices ranging from 1,070 to 1,460 billion VND. In the first 9 months of this year, this Japanese sedan has accumulated sales of 1,889 units, leading the D-sized sedan segment in Vietnam.
