During the LA Auto Show 2023, Subaru unveiled the sixth-generation Forester, featuring an enlarged body, a more rigid structure, an advanced EyeSight ADAS system, and a redesigned exterior that draws similarities to the Ford Explorer.
The interior of the all-new Forester boasts an infotainment system anchored by a vertically oriented touchscreen display on the dashboard, reducing the number of physical controls. The base model integrates a 7-inch screen, while higher-end variants incorporate an 11.6-inch screen, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Notably, the 2024 Forester continues to feature analog gauges, akin to its predecessor, rather than adopting a fully digital gauge cluster. The three-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel incorporates various control buttons.
All 2024 Forester models are equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a power-operated tailgate activated by a foot sensor.
Upon its release in the US market, the new Forester will come equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.5L boxer 4-cylinder engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 180 horsepower, representing a slight decrease of 2 horsepower compared to its predecessor. However, the maximum torque has been increased from 239 Nm to 241 Nm.
