Toyota has recently unveiled the Urban Crossover, a new SUV in its lineup. This electric vehicle is one of the five models that Toyota plans to launch by 2025.
In the upcoming years, Toyota will focus on the B-segment SUV market as it is projected to drive the company’s sales. The Urban Crossover will be a key player in this segment.
The Urban Crossover is currently not assigned an official name, but more detailed information about the vehicle is expected to be announced in early 2024. It is scheduled to be available for purchase starting in 2025.
The Toyota Urban Crossover will be built on the e-TNGA platform, similar to the bZ4X model, with dimensions of 4,300 x 1,820 x 1,620 mm. This means that the Urban Crossover will have a similar size to the Toyota Yaris Cross.
From the released images, it can be seen that the Toyota Urban Crossover has a design that closely resembles the Suzuki eVX concept introduced earlier this year.
The Urban Crossover will be offered with two battery options, and the higher-end model will have a range of 400 km. Customers can choose between rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options.
The starting price of the Urban Crossover is estimated to be around 32,000 pounds (approximately 983.3 million VND).
This model is part of Toyota’s plan to introduce five electric car models by 2025. Additionally, rumors suggest that Toyota will be launching at least two more SUV models in the near future, with one being similar to the RAV4 and the other falling into the category of the Highlander.
